Location: Small Beginnings Faith-Based In-Home Daycare and Preschool, Artesia, NM
Pay Rate: $12/hour
Hours: 4-12 hours per week

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Substitute Teacher to join our team. This role primarily involves working in the baby room while also supporting other classrooms as needed. As a vital part of our program, you will help ensure a Christ-centered, supportive learning atmosphere, stepping in when regular teachers are unavailable. Flexibility, patience, and a warm approach to working with children and staff are key to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care in the baby room, fostering a nurturing and structured environment.
- Assist across different age groups, stepping into various classrooms as needed.
- Follow lesson plans and maintain consistency with activities set by the lead teacher.
- Promote a sense of love, learning, and encouragement in line with our faith-based principles.
- Engage with children in a respectful, patient, and compassionate manner.
- Ensure children’s safety during transitions and playtime.
- Share observations and insights with lead teachers to support individual child development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education, particularly with infants and toddlers.
- Passion for creating loving, faith-focused learning environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexible and proactive mindset when addressing the needs of different classrooms.
